Hello All,
I recently took over Admin role for Bugzilla and have been stumped about a sudden broken email notification problem.
The deployment is setup with 'sendmail' and a gmail account that was working for sometime. So less secure apps setting is correct as well as the parameter values such as smtp server, password, etc.
However, I decided to clear/reset all the email parameters and re-enter and upon doing so I received the following error when trying to save the settings.
Software error:
Can't locate object method "quit" via package "Net::SMTP::SSL" at Bugzilla/Config/Common.pm line 370.
For help, please send mail to the webmaster (***@localhost), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.
I determined this is being thrown by the 'stmpserver' parameter as I filled all others out one by one without incident.
I also examined the mail logs and see that gmail is denying authorization with "wrong username or password" error. I can confirm username and password are correct as I logged in with them. So I assume this is due to the SSL failure.
Please help.
P.S. I have already tried the following threads.
